This free training session is for frontline staff looking to expand their knowledge of benefits and support available for carers aged over State Pension age.
By the end of the session, you will:

• understand what Underlying Entitlement to a Carer's benefit is, and what this means for people who can get it
• recognise how Carer's Allowance and Carer Support Payment can affect other benefits, and the benefits of other people
• know when to signpost for specialist advice
• build confidence to start conversations with your service users about claiming Carer’s benefits.
