Explore and examine the short and long term impact of serious youth violence on young people, peers, families, and communities.

  • Examine the ripple effects of serious youth violence on individuals, peer groups, families, schools, communities, and wider society
  • Understand the impact of serious youth violence on the physical health, social development, cognitive functioning, and emotional wellbeing of young people, their peers, and the wider community
  • Explore the risks to mental wellbeing associated with gang involvement, including the implications for safeguarding and support for young people
  • Understand the cycle of trauma, victimisation, and violence within families and communities, and identify approaches to breaking intergenerational patterns of harm and violence
