Croydon's Community of Practice for Suicide & Self-Harm Prevention (Croydon Family Hubs)

Thursday 19 November 2026
09:30 to 13:00

Croydon’s multi-agency Suicide and Self-Harm Steering Group would like to invite you to the first Community of Practice event for suicide prevention in the borough, on Thursday 19th November.

We want to create a safe, inclusive space that brings together a wide community of partners working on preventing self-harm and suicide in Croydon to:

  • Discuss good practice and keep up to date with local, regional and national training opportunities and policy updates
  • Collaborate and support each other to overcome specific local challenges
  • Build knowledge and understanding of self-harm and suicide across interested partners

This community of practice enables collaboration, shared learning, and evidence-based action to improve mental wellbeing, prevent crises and reduce suicide risk across Croydon.

The first meeting will be co-hosted by Family Hubs, who are launching the newly developed perinatal suicide prevention training as part of the parental mental health strategy and will provide valuable updates to partners on local data and insight on suicide and self-harm, policy developments and training updates.
