This week marks Dementia Action Week 2024 (13 - 19 May).
It is Alzheimer's Society's annual campaign that brings people together from across the country under a unified theme to take action on dementia.
There are lots of fun and (mostly) free dementia-friendly activities happening across the borough. The events include:
- opportunities to touch rare objects at the Museum of Croydon to transport people back in time.
- a chance to watch a movie in a dementia-friendly setting, with the lights on at The David Lean Cinema.
- free one-hour online dementia friends sessions.
Everyone is welcome to attend the events throughout the week to learn more about how to create dementia-friendly communities. more about how to create dementia-friendly communities.
