As we head into the holiday period it's a time for reflection of the year that's past. Despite significant hurdles faced, the collective spirit of Croydon's Voluntary and Community Sector is strengthened. Our collaborations are maturing and we have worked hard on meaningful partnerships to have greater reach and impact in our missions.
At Croydon Voluntary Action and Reedham Children's Trust, we're ambitious on how working towards a merger will enable us to take that unity to the next level. In the New Year we'll be meeting with partners across the borough to invite your input into our plans on how we work together to better serve Croydon.
In the meantime have a peaceful Christmas and New Year.

Giving Trees - donations to support vulnerable families
Reedham Children’s Trust, in partnership with Checkout Croydon and Centrale and Whitgift, is spreading kindness across Croydon with ten Giving Trees. These are located in Centrale, Whitgift, and local businesses. Reedham Children’s Trust support vulnerable families all year round, and the Giving Tree Appeal is one way they help make Christmas brighter.
Until 24 December, pick a tag, buy a gift, and drop it off unwrapped to be a Secret Santa for a local child or family. Let’s fill Croydon with Christmas magic.
Croydon Together - night shelter appeal
Croydon Voluntary Action is working with Housing Justice and a steering group of local faith-based and community organisations to set up a communal night shelter in Croydon.
It is set to run from mid-January to mid-April, providing a warm welcome and safe place to sleep, hot meals, showers and a community-based approach to support for 12-20 men and women experiencing homelessness
