Short Breaks Services for Disabled Children and Young People and their Families

Market engagement event for short breaks services for disabled children

The London Borough of Croydon (the Council) would like to bring your attention to an exciting new opportunity to help shape the future of Short Breaks services for Children and Young People with Disabilities (CWD) and their families.

The Council is preparing to commission a new model of Short Breaks Services designed to:
• Promote the independence, choice, and inclusion of disabled children and young people aged 0–25.
• Provide a range of fun, safe, and high-quality short break opportunities that meet the diverse needs of Croydon’s families.
• Enable children and young people to develop new skills, friendships, and confidence in community settings.

They are seeking to engage with potential providers, community organisations, and stakeholders to help shape our future commissioning approach and ensure the new services deliver the best possible outcomes for children, young people, and their families.
You are invited to attend our Market Engagement Event, where commissioners and Croydon’s CWD team will share our vision, outcomes, and priorities for Short Breaks Services. This will also be an opportunity for you to:
• Ask questions and share your insights, and
• Explore opportunities for partnership and innovation in service delivery.

They look forward to meeting providers who share our commitment to delivering inclusive, child-centred, and outcome-focused services for Croydon’s disabled children, young people, and their families.
