FORWARD’s work in Croydon

Community Outreach and Advocacy services in Croydon

Alimatu Dimonekene, Community Outreach and Advocacy Coordinator at FORWARD (Foundation for Women's Health Research and Development), is looking to develop services in Croydon.

Alimatu said: “As FORWARD continues to strengthen its presence in Croydon, we are keen to increase referrals to our specialist services while also expanding our community engagement, outreach activities, awareness sessions, and partnerships across the borough.”

“We recognise the excellent work already taking place through the Croydon VAWG Network and would welcome opportunities to collaborate with you and your organisation.”

“FORWARD provides culturally sensitive, survivor-centred support for women and girls affected by FGM and other harmful practices, alongside advocacy, safeguarding, training, education, and community engagement.”

“We believe that by working together we can ensure that those most in need are aware of and can access the right support at the right time.”

“I would be delighted to meet with you to discuss how we might work together, whether through referrals, joint events, awareness raising, professional training, or community initiatives. Please feel free to get in touch if you would like to arrange a conversation or learn more about FORWARD's services.”

“I look forward to connecting with many of you and working together to strengthen support for women and girls across Croydon.”
