One-to-one sessions and small group support
Offering support, advice and hands-on help to:
- set up video chat software to stay in contact with family, friends, neighbours during this time. (Skype/ Facetime/ WhatsApp)
- helping you to set up online shopping account and making that first purchase
- critical form filling and applications: Council, Rent, Health Service
At the moment this is on Tuesday and Friday mornings at Upper Norwood Library while it remains open, other times may be arranged. Looking to set up a group session on using Skype ahead of everything closing down as this would be a really good way to learn!
Community remote support
Clear Community Webcan provide remote support to solve issues with your computer or to walk you through setting up video or shopping online.
This is available now and will continue if public buildings close.
Community groups and working from home
They are providing special training and set-up for community groups and non-profits who need to stay in touch using Skype or Zoom.
They can also assist you in remote working and provide direct support for your beneficiaries.
Digital Skills Classes via Zoom for Seniors Every Wednesday
Designed to help people learn how to use the internet safely and be more comfortable with technology. Due to the Coronavirus they are now looking at new ways to keep in contact and learn new skills and so keeping this class alive is vital. It is a perfect opportunity to put things into practice, plus they can broaden our horizons as other people may with to join. There will be a regular check in to see how everyone is doing and start to do some activities when we ready and people are comfortable with the format. Register here.
