Watch out for Scammers

The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), part of GCHQ, has launched the new Suspicious Email Reporting Service (SERS). If you receive an email that you think is suspicious, you can simply forward it to the NCSC at report@phishing.gov.uk and their automated programme will immediately test the validity of the site.

Croydon Trading Standards are keen to encourage everyone to stay vigilant and be careful about people who are taking advantage of the coronavirus pandemic, such as rogue traders. If you think you’ve been the victim of a scam, contact the Citizens Advice Consumer Helpline on 0808 223 1133 or  Action Fraud on 0300 123 2040.
