The Croydon Homeless Intervention Project (CHIP) is a collaboration between four local voluntary sector organisations: Spires, CAYSH, CVA and the West Croydon Baptist Church
Together we run a new local day centre for people experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness. It's a place to access practical support and to reset. Services on offer include:
- Support from an adviser with housing and practical next steps.
- Help connecting with local community support & activities and volunteer befrienders.
- Free hot breakfast and snacks.
- Showers, washing machine and dryer.
Open access sessions: Monday, Thursday and Friday. 9 am - 12 noon.
Appointments-only sessions: Monday, Thursday and Friday. 12 noon - 4pm.
Location: CVA Resource Centre, 82 London Road, Croydon CR0 2TB.
To help keep the space safe and supportive for everyone, people need to be able to take part without being under the influence of alcohol or drugs. If someone arrives unable to participate safely, staff can discuss a more suitable time to return.
The project is funded through the Ending Homelessness in Communities Fund (EHCF) via the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) and endorsed by Croydon Council.
