Femi is a graduate of The University of Manchester where he studied electrical and electronic engineering, before completing a post graduate diploma in business information technology from Buckinghamshire New University. He has worked for large organisations including AIG, Babcock, and Hays plc. Sector experience includes education, welfare to work, financial services, technology, healthcare, human resources, construction and engineering.
Currently working as a career consultant at Goldsmiths, University of London, supporting students and recent graduates with developing their career and employability skills. He has over a decade of experience working with young people, long term unemployed, to professionals, across London, and the Southeast. Worked on government employment initiatives such as access to work, community task force, and the work programme. Managed local community programmes funded by Big Lottery, Housing Associations, and Local Authorities.
Femi is an avid networker, and active member of the community. He is a mental health first aider (MHFA). Served for over 10 years as a school governor and board director for a local primary school in Croydon. Also, co-delivered an annual community event, The Parade of Nations, in Thornton Heath that brought local residents, communities, charities, and organisations together as part of the Big Lunch (an Eden project).
He became a published author in September 2022, with his first book titled: Confessions of a maverick careers coach: 152 Life Lessons, Tips and Quotes. to Inspire Your Career, Build Mental Resilience, Develop Key Skills, and Acquire Success Your Way. (Foreword by Dr. Roy Paget, UK Neuroscientist).
Femi resides in Croydon where he has lived for 25 years, married, with four children.
