‘Value Croydon’ is about a different way of doing business for the Council and the borough as a whole.  It is about developing social partnerships with businesses, the community and other public sector agencies to promote social value in Croydon.  This will mean a focus on supporting the creation of jobs for local people, providing training and skill development opportunities (particularly for young people), investing in local business growth, opening up more commissioning opportunities to local SMEs and VCSE and, developing our local supply chain.

 Supporting local business, especially small and medium-sized enterprise, is a key priority for the Council and we hope that at this event the Council’s leadership will be sending out a strong message about the way we will do business in the future and seeking commitment from all the businesses and developers invested in Croydon to work with us to further develop our approach.  Local businesses will also have the opportunity to meet, and make connections with, our key suppliers and partners.
