South London CVS Partnership are hosting an event where the Big Lottery team will give an update on the European Social Fund and what their recent involvement means for local groups. 

The European Social Fund (ESF) supports activities that help people become more employable. Whereas for many years, most ESF contracts have only been available via institutions like Job Centre Plus, Big Lottery is for the first time becoming an ESF distributor and match-funder. This has the potential to make this fund more accessible to local groups and allow for more wide-ranging activities. 

The event will provide updates on… •the role of the Big Lottery and its priorities •target client groups, terms of grants, activities, geography •potential opportunities for VCSE delivery •the requirement and opportunity to develop sub-regional partnerships/consortia
