Best starts for our Children in the Community

Over the past year four organisations across the borough:

1.  Home-Start Croydon
2. St Johns in Upper Norwood
3. Acorns2Oaks
4. Family Centre (Fieldway) 

with the support of Croydon Voluntary Action, have been home to 7 Community Builders to ensure Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) is placing community and citizens at the heart of the Council’s Best Start initiative.

This conference is aimed at practitioners within early years teams across health, social care and the voluntary sector offering them the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of ABCD. They will hear from citizens who are developing community led initiatives in the borough and the Community Builders who walk alongside them.

The event, led by Cormac Russell, CEO of Nurture Development and ABCD Institute Fellow, will gather pledges to action from practitioners based on how they and their service can support this activity.
