How to achieve the Investing in Volunteers Quality Mark

Wednesday 07 March 2018
10:30 to 12:30

What does quality volunteering look like and how can organisations benefit from achieving the Investing in Volunteers (IiV) quality standard?

This session will go through the 9 indicators of IiV, which are centred on the four main areas of volunteer management:

  1. ·Planning for volunteer involvement
  2. ·Recruiting volunteers
  3. ·Selecting and matching volunteers
  4. ·Supporting and retaining volunteers

The workshop will explore the benefits of IiV as well as looking at what the impact has been on volunteers, staff and service users who have been through the accreditation. We will start to explore what good practice looks like at a practical level and give organisations the skills needed to self-assess their volunteer programmes.
