Starting Up: How to Become a Charity or Social Enterprise (KVA)

Do you have a brilliant idea yet need help to turn it into a great charitable project? If so this workshop is for you. This interactive online session will cover: legal structures, leadership risks, case for support, and how to develop budgets!

 

This course is suitable for anyone who is setting up a community group, charity or social enterprise based in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames, Royal Borough of Richmond upon Thames, or London Borough of Croydon.

Attend as:

  • an individual
  • with your co-leaders
  • as a new group
  • someone who wants a refresher on charitable trends

 

This course will help you to:

  • Develop your project ideas into a draft case for support
  • Recognise different kinds of organisational forms and legal statuses
  • Identify the steps / support needed to build your idea
  • Plan ahead to counteract common leadership risks

 

Additional information:

Kingston/Richmond/Croydon resident – this session costs £10 plus the Eventbrite booking fee. This is a heavily subsidised rate for people who live in any of these three boroughs who want to develop a project that will support local residents.
