2-hour interactive webinar, on work with perpetrators of domestic abuse and how this works in the context of the DA Act 2021.

This webinar is part of the Ascent training package funded by London Councils; about what the Domestic Abuse Bill means for work with perpetrators of domestic abuse.During this webinar, we will explore domestic abuse dynamics, and what coercive control is like to live with. We will consider the question of why perpetrators choose to use abusive behaviour, and explore how gender may affect experiences of DA. We will think about perpetrator work, whether it is effective in reducing harm posed by perpetrators and understand the aims of working with perpetrators. We will consider the DA Act 2021, what changes this has brought in and the practice implications for work with perpetrators in a multi-agency setting, exploring best practice around this work.
