Working with death, dying and loss (One Croydon Training Programme)

Thursday 30 March 2023
10:30 to 12:00

Due to the success of our previous training, we are repeating this 'working with death, dying and loss' session.

Despite the fact that no one likes to think about death, the reality is that all of us have, or will have to cope with the loss of someone we love: a relative, a neighbour, or a resident we cared for during our lifetime.

  • What we can do to cope with it?
  • How we can support those facing a serious illness?
  • How can we help someone in grief?
  • What is Palliative Care and End-o- Life Care?
  • What is a hospice?

A clinical facilitator from St Christopher's Hospice will go through these questions, trying to answer them and bring awareness and knowledge to our communities about these sensitive conversations.

The One Croydon Training programme is for our frontline workforce (statutory, health, and voluntary). Colleagues working in Food Banks, Social Prescribers, Helpline Staff, Befrienders, Social Workers, and Employment Advisors.
