SWL Voluntary, Community & Enterprise Sector Alliance: how to link in (CVA)

Thursday 27 April 2023
09:30 to 11:30

Does your community group deliver health and social care activities?  Discover how you can shape health priorities for the borough.

Join this meeting to find out how your voluntary sector organisation can benefit from being part of the South West London (SWL) Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise Sector (VCSE) Alliance.

There are six boroughs in the SWL VCSE Alliance, including Croydon

In 2021 NHS guidance suggested the health system is ready to embrace the innovation and person-centred knowledge our voluntary sector sector can bring. It introduced Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise Sector (VCSE) Alliances to:

  • Make sure voluntary sector organisations in South West London become strategic partners of the NHS, shape priorities and take decisions.
  • Use their expertise to support co-design and delivery of local health services that can reduce inequality, improve population health, and enhance productivity.
  • Support the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector to sit on boards such as the Integrated Care Partnership (ICP).
  • Make sure the voluntary sector is involved in budgeting and commissioning decisions through the Integrated Care Board (ICB).

Integrated care systems (ICSs) bring with them an opportunity to change how the health and care system works with the voluntary sector; join the discussion about how we want this to happen in Croydon!
