Extra-Familial Harm and its impact on young people (CSCP Learning Event)

Wednesday 05 July 2023
10:00 to 12:00

This Croydon Safeguarding Children Partnership (CSCP) learning webinar aims to address, the impact of extra-familial harm on our young people in Croydon. This is a prevalent issue that has been the basis of our most recent safeguarding practice review. The discussion will revolve around shedding light on the different forms of harm young people face outside of their immediate family or caregivers. The webinar is an opportunity for practitioners to learn and share their knowledge and experience from their respective fields.

The event will feature a panel of expert speakers from the wider Partnership who will explore the different types of extra-familial harm, including contextual safeguarding, exploitation, knife-crime and dis-proportionality.

The webinar is open to support workers, DSLs, teachers, social workers, police officers, and healthcare professionals, who interact with young people in their line of work.
