Bereavement, grief and loss: supporting yourself and others

Wednesday 15 November 2023
10:30 to 12:00

The experience of grief is different for everyone, and although grief occurs after death, there are also many other life events that involve loss and cause feelings of grief, affecting a person's physical and mental health. The session will provide you with opportunities to reflect and consider tools and methods for supporting yourself and others through these challenges.

Malcolm Gill from St Christopher's will explore, and bring awareness and knowledge to our communities about how to have sensitive conversations and support those we come in contact with.

This training is part of the One Croydon Training programme, which is for Croydon's frontline workforce (statutory, health, and voluntary sector) colleagues, but this session may be of particular interest to those supporting food banks, the elderly, refugees, the unemployed, or as a volunteer or befriender.
