Mental Health Networking Event (Croydon Council)

Thursday 18 January 2024
14:30 to 16:30

The Croydon Mental Health Commissioning team is excited to announce that we will be hosting a Networking Event to shine a spotlight and showcase the talent of Croydon’s wonderful voluntary and community sector (VCS) organisations.

Your organisation’s input is invaluable. The event will be set up in a job fayre type arrangement allowing organisations to showcase work and network with social care staff from throughout the borough, to increase their understanding of the excellent work being done.

The event aims to strengthen partnerships and collaboration between statutory, stakeholders and the voluntary and community sector and find out about what is on offer. It will also help to build a strong network to help deliver better outcomes for those we support.

It’s a fantastic opportunity to connect with like-minded professionals and build new professional networks.

We believe this event will provide immense value to all attendees and we would be honoured for you to join us on:

Date: Thursday 18th January 2024

Time: (Set up from 1.30pm) 2.30 - 4.30pm

Location: Braithwaite Hall, Katharine Street, Croydon, CR0 1NX

In line with Croydon’s commitment to using the ‘Five Ways to Well-being’ to support all residents to maintain good mental heath or to intervene as early as possible to stop anyone who is feeling low, worried, frustrated or anxious from experiencing some form of crisis, this event seeks to attract a wide range of organisations, groups and individuals who offer opportunities that contribute to achieving this outcome. So, as well as those organisations who do have a specific mental heath focus, we are keen to attract organisations such as green space/’Friends of’ groups, sports-related groups, arts-related organisations, faith groups, community centres etc. – anyone who provides listening, connecting and creative opportunities that give purpose in people’s lives would be most welcome.

So, if you would like to have a stall at the event and/or have any local creative works you would like to display art at the event or put on a short performances of song, dance, theatre, music, poetry etc at the event, please email – mentalhealthcommissioning@croydon.gov.uk

Please would you also share this invitation with any groups, organisations and individuals that you feel could enrich the event.
