A free programme is being offered across South West London for voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations working in Community Health and Social Care (including Health and Wellbeing Agencies). 

We know very well how, with tighter budgets and reduced funding, voluntary sector groups are struggling more and more to provide training opportunities to their staff. Have you ever thought about accessing a donation to offer free courses to your employees?

The NHS has commissioned the South West London VCSE Alliance to deliver, through the services of Need 2 Succeed, a free programme aimed at providing 1:1 dedicated support to VCSE organisations wishing to upskill current staff through apprenticeship courses. Precedence will be given to organisations whose core purpose is providing Health and Social Care across Southwest London so if you provide services around mental health / emotional support / counselling / services for older or frail people / people with disabilities (physical, learning disabilities and autism) / carers get in touch!

Need 2 Succeed are running a free workshop that will help you navigate these free workforce development opportunities and unlock the full potential of apprenticeships, utilising NHS Levy funding transfer.

This workshop will provide you with an overview as follows:

• Understanding the H&SC Workforce landscape and introduce providers who are supporting workforce development across South London
• Understanding apprenticeships and how you can use them to skill up existing staff?
• What are the different training routes and qualifications that can be applied for?
• What is the Levy/Non levy Apprenticeship Funding and how can you access it?
• How to set up an employer account on the ‘Find an Apprenticeship Service’ website?
• How to access specific 1:1 support to enrol staff.
