Barnardos Conference: For Children and Families in Croydon Affected by Parental Offending

This free one day will give an overview of the issues facing the families of prisoners and provide a range of strategies and resources to help you support them.

Conference Speakers and Presentations include:
·         Catherine Doran, Independent Chair Croydon Safeguarding Children Board and Lynn Gradwell, Director of Barnardo’s London Region
·         ‘i-Hop’, a one-stop information and advice service to support professionals in working with children and families of offenders
·         ‘Families Apart’ A project using community based social work in Kingston-Upon-Thames
·         ‘Children Affected by Parental Imprisonment Champion Model in Schools’—A Presentation on how the model was developed within Somerset
·         Developing a support model in Essex Children Centres for Children affected by parental imprisonment
·         “I was a child affected by parental imprisonment” - Perspective from a young person (video)
·         Discussion on how your organisation can support Children in your services affected by Parental Imprisonment
