This training is for any Practitioner working with Children, Young People and their families who may require Early Help support.
What is the aim of the training?
The session explores Croydon’s new Early Help Assessment (CAF), particularly within the context of Croydon’s Early Help Pathways, OFSTED requirements and Working Together (2013) statutory guidance.
The training Explores theory relating to assessing families and offers tools, tips and guidance on building relationships, asking difficult questions and breaking down barriers to undertaking Early Help Assessments.
What will the outcome of the training be?
By the end of the sessions attendees should be confident;
To demonstrate a confident approach to completing Early Help Assessments (CAF) “what to write and how to write it”
To identify a range of tools, techniques, theories and guidance to aid the assessment process
To describe some of the barriers to completing Early Help assessments and ways to overcome them.
To demonstrate an understanding of the new scoring system and how to effectively negotiate this with families.
