Safer Neighbourhood Board Meeting

The main topic of this meeting will be “police treatment of individuals with mental health issues”.
A presentation will be given by the Borough Commander, Chf Supt Andy Tarrant.
Issues to be discussed will include the use of powers under Ssection 136 of the Mental Health Act (“place of safety”), treatment of individuals with mental health issues in custody, and joint work with “appropriate adults” and the challenges this presents.
