Free Public Health training in Croydon

Aim:  
To enable participants to effectively use brief opportunistic interventions to improve service user access to smoking cessation support.

To give participants a basic understanding of smoking cessation support.

To help promote a non-smoking normative culture

Objectives:

Develop an understanding of the national and local context of smoking cessation

Enhance skills for raising the issue of smoking with clients

Develop a basic understanding of individuals and their smoking 

Refer appropriately to smoking cessation support

Target Audience:

Health professionals and others with an interest in Smoking Cessation

Front line staff at GP practices and pharmacies
