Latest of Free Introductory Education Advocacy Training Sessions CEN has delivered this year. Please do not book on if you have attended before unless you need to review.

Who should attend?

Parents who want to gain the essential skills and knowledge to empower themselves and other parents that have children at risk of school exclusion or who have been excluded.
Community members and practitioners who would like to develop their understanding of Advocacy and School Exclusions.
And for anyone who would be interested in becoming a CEN VOLUNTEER ADVOCATE for Communities Empowerment Network and helping us meet the huge demand for our services

What will I get out of the workshop?

Understand the parent’s and child’s perspective
Understand the school environment and types of exclusion that schools enforce
Identify when children are more likely to be at risk at of exclusion and the strategies to put in place to avoid Exclusion
Increase your knowledge about the legal aspects of exclusion.
Understand the importance of recording information and how to ask critical questions to prepare an effective case.
Opportunity to become a CEN Volunteer Advocate or Empowerment Volunteer.

CEN have a huge demand for our training and due to limited funding we are only able to hold a few of these workshops each year.
