BECKET by St. John's Dramatic Society

Thursday 04 February 2016
16:00 to 18:00

Taking place from 4 - 6 February 2016.

Archbishop Thomas Becket (c.1118-1170) was murdered in Canterbury Cathedral by 4 knights on 29th December 1170.

This powerful play tells the story of the relationship between Becket and Henry II. It shows how the relationship changes as Henry first appoints Becket as his Chancellor (in 1155), and then appoints him Archbishop of Canterbury (in 1162).
