Wednesday 02 March 2016
09:30 to 16:30
The DASH (Domestic Abuse, Stalking and Honour Based Violence) is one common checklist for use across police services and partner agencies in the UK, particularly in MARACS. Domestic Homicides and serious case reviews identified insufficient risk identification, assessment and management, lack of understanding of risk identification, assessment and management, insufficient information sharing, failure to manage the intelligence and failure to make the links across public protection and serial offending. The aim of the training is:
· To understand how to use the DASH Risk model (2009)
· Explore the evidence based the development of the DASH Model
· Examine lessons learned from homicide reviews using case studies
· How the model fits with risk management panels
· To save lives through early risk identification, intervention and prevention
