Preparing Men for Change 2 day training

The aim of this training is to:
· Invite trainees to review their knowledge and risk factors in domestic abuse cases
· Consider typical problems workers experience when working with fathers
· Explore practical motivational techniques to assist in engaging father in the process of change
· Explore and practice the co-production of risk assessments
· Explore and practice strategies for reducing risk and changing behaviour
This is day 1 of a 2 day training event and applicants for this training must have attended the Domestic Abuse, Stalking and Honour based violence (DASH), Risk identification, assessment and management model training and be able to attend both days. The 2nd day is 12 May 2016.
The training also takes place on 7th and 8th June 2016.
