Barnardo’s have been working with trafficked children and young people in Croydon since September 2014. Barnardo’s are now offering an in-depth introduction to Child Trafficking for all front-line staff. This is a useful training package for all professionals who work with young people.
Learning objectives
The one day interactive program will cover the following areas:
· Trafficking indicators and how to identify a trafficked child
· Types of exploitation (including internal)
· The Modern Slavery Act 2015
· Understanding – A child’s view
· How to Safeguard a trafficked child
· The National Referral Mechanism (NRM) Process
· What to do if you suspect a child has been trafficked
