The Fullness of Life Together

Wednesday 24 February 2016
12:30 to 15:30

An event on the topic of Christian community engagement.  It  aims to explore the groundbreaking Fullness of Life Together Report and the questions that surface all about reimagining the Christian engagement in our communities.
Why do we need a conversation?
Thousands of churches around the country are working to support people in their communities, providing activities ranging from food banks and debt advice, to night shelters and job clubs.
Given the impressive scale and diversity of Christian community engagement, it is all the more important that we continue to reflect upon the nature of that work - the way it is being delivered and its impact.
In the Fullness of Life Together Report, Livability and Church Urban Fund do just that. They explore the limitations of a service delivery approach and look at alternative asset-based models for action including co-production and asset-based community development.
Who is it for?
Church Leaders, Community Workers, Youth Workers, Volunteers, all those local and involved.
What will the afternoon look like?
The afternoon will include a brief summary of the report's themes and presentation of a subsequent theological reflection paper followed by two practitioner responses. Time will be given to facilitated conversation and response.
Join them to create a space for open discussion about their approach to community engagement and the theological convictions that underpin them.
