Taasc (Talking about adult social care)

Wednesday 16 March 2016
12:00 to 16:00

The main item for discussion is the proposed expansion of the direct payment scheme for people receiving adult social care, implications for service users and a chance for you to have a say on how this may work in practice.

This is your chance to hear about the adult care services that matter most to you and to help develop services by sharing your ideas and experiences with the decision-makers.

  • Hear about the Direct Payments scheme which will help you choose and arrange the care and support services you need, in the way you want.
  • Join round table discussions on what would encourage people to join the scheme and any issues that should be taken into consideration.
  • Have your say to help shape and develop the service.
  • Speak with a range of services and support organisations for one to one information and advice at the information stands.

The programme for the afternoon can be read here and more information about CASSUP is available here.

Attendance is free but booking is essential. Email CASSUP@croydon.gov.uk to book your place. Priority will be given to people who use Croydon adult social services and their carers. Please tell us of any access needs when you book a place so that they can support your full participation on the day.
