Tackling Hate Crime In Croydon

You are invited to an event on Tackling Hate Crime in Croydon which will take place in the Council Chamber, Croydon Town Hall, Katharine Street, Croydon, on Wednesday 20 April, starting at 6pm. Refreshments will be available.

The event is being co-hosted by Croydon’s Safer Neighbourhood Board and Faiths Together in Croydon, and funded by the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime.

Your views, experiences and questions on hate crime will be welcome. Key issues to be discussed will be the reporting of hate crime and dealing with the impact of such incidents, which can be difficult.

The event will include:

- action being taken by the police and the Safer Croydon Partnership on tackling hate crime

- a question time with the Borough Commander and representatives of the Safer Croydon Partnership

- issues relating to the reporting of Hate Crime

- protection against hate crime and its consequences

At the end of the event, participants will be encouraged to contribute key action points to be monitored by Croydon’s Safer Neighbourhood Board.
