Programme: The New Digital Strategy: Smarter Public Services
Thursday 30 June 2016
OVERVIEW
This conference will look at the latest strategy and thinking and how they can be applied in practice at a national, regional and local level. Previous events in this series have attracted delegates from across the breadth of the public sector offering a unique opportunity to learn from others and forge new partnerships.
A new digital strategy is being developed that will be a blueprint for the next five years of digital public services, helping to drive service transformation with smart technology and data at its heart. This is a hugely exciting time to rethink how services are delivered so that they are easier and simpler to use. It is time to innovate, to make public services more effective and better able to meet the citizens’ needs first time and every time.
“We must build a truly 21st century state: smarter, nimbler, more responsive and more accessible. The technology exists to do it, and the public expect it. It is our duty.”
Minister for Cabinet Office, Matt Hancock
