Fundraising in a time of Austerity
Wednesday 20 July 2016
09:45 to 13:00
4in10 (the ratio of children living below the poverty line in London) is a small campaigning organisation, looking at issues which directly affect the rates of child poverty in the Capital. Their events bring together academics, funders, local authority and voluntary sector practitioners, to share current knowledge and good practice.
In the last quarter, 60% of small charities have recorded an increase in demand for their services. At the same time, voluntary sector organisations have been hit hard by cuts. Join us to hear speakers from the Social Market Foundation, The Directory for Social Change, Trust for London and The Big Give.
Fundraising in a time of austerity will explore:
- The policy landscape for London’s voluntary sector in relation to increased demand and reduced funding opportunities.
- The funding priorities of key London funders
- Best practice around alternative ways of raising funds including crowd funding.
Please stay for lunch and networking from 1pm.
