Preparing Men for Change – working with domestically violent men.

A two day (both days must be attended) training that aims -

  • To invite trainees to review their knowledge of risk factors in domestic abuse cases
  • To consider the typical problems workers experience when working with fathers
  • To explore and practice motivational techniques to assist in engaging fathers in the process of change
  • To explore and practice the co-production of risk assessments
  • To explore and practice strategies for reducing risk and changing behaviour

This course will require a high level of participation from trainees, you must be able to attend both training dates

You must have completed the Domestic Abuse identifying Assessing and Managing Risk, one day training before attending this training and must attend both days of Preparing Men for change.
