The NHS is planning to increase the use of Personal Health Budgets (PHBs). Local infrastructure organisations need to be aware of what this could mean and the potential role they could play to make PHBs work for local people.

NAVCA, National Voices and Volunteering Matters (aka Voluntary Voices) are setting up learning and support networks for anyone in the voluntary sector involved in helping people and local voluntary organisations make PHBs work, in particular local infrastructure, charities delivering healthcare and user-led organisations. The networks will also have input from NHS England and local CCGs, so present an opportunity to share ideas with them.

To initiate the networks they have organised free learning and development days in venues across the country.
