Free Safer Organisations Conference

Tuesday 15 November 2016

Come to either session:

Morning from 9.30am - 12.30pm or

Afternoon from 1.30pm -4.30pm

If your organisation profvides services and support to children and young people then this conference will provide you with an opportunity to consider what you need to do to safeguard young people and guide the staff who work with them.
The event will be led by Croydon's Local Authoirty Designated Office (LADO) and will give you the opportunity to learn from local case studies and discuss how you can take forward best practice in your setting.

The half day session covers:

  • What makes an organisation safe: consider how your organisation or setting is safeguarding children and how it could improve
  • How to better protect children and staff through improving working practices
  • Understanding what inappropriate and unsafe behaviour looks like
  • Use of processes when an allegation is made including learning from local case studies
  • Knowing what local resources are available to support you.

Open to all managers and practitioners working in Croydon across a range of settings including schools, health, camhs, social care, housing, community safety, police, probation and community and voluntary groups.

Tea and coffee will be provided. To book on all courses now you have to have an account - login here
