Who is this training for?
For those who work with parents and carers of young people—such as practitioners from social care and fostering, education, health and community groups.

Learning Aims and Objectives

  • Understand how CSE has an impact on parents/carers
  • Identify ways of engaging parents/carers around CSE and the associated risks including incorporating diversity and identity
  • Understand how attitudes, beliefs and language can impact on parents/carers engagement with services
  • Identify the ways in which CSE can take place within and outside of the family home
  • Identify the responsibilities parents and foster carers have in safeguarding their children from CSE
