The ‘Troubled Families Programme’ is a targeted government intervention for families with multiple problems including crime, anti-social behaviour, truancy, unemployment, mental health problems, and domestic abuse. Local authorities engaged with 120,000 families during the first phase from 2012-2015, and claimed to ‘turn around’ approximately 99% of those identified and supported. Read more
