Supporting and Including LGBTQ Young People in Croydon

METRO Youth’s Croydon service, The Bridge is delighted to offer a free training session for professionals working in Croydon who are looking to develop their knowledge and confidence to support and include lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and questioning (LGBTQ) young people across their services.

This interactive session will support participants to:

  • Increase their knowledge of terminology relating to LGBTQ identities
  • Increase their confidence to explore and challenge negative language and stereotypes
  • Increase their understanding of some of the needs and experiences of LGBTQ young people
  • Identify actions, practical steps and resources to support and include LGBTQ young people in their services

The training is provided free, but please note that there may be a  £30 for late cancellations made less than 48 hours before the session. If you are unable to attend the training session please contact at the earliest opportunity so that  your space can be offered to someone else.

The Bridge is delivered by METRO Charity, funded by Croydon Council Community Fund. The Bridge is Croydon’s LGBTQ Youth service, providing youth groups and 1-2-1 support for lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and questioning (LGBTQ) young people and training for professionals in Croydon.
