A market engagement workshop to look at Croydon Council’s plans to put to open competitive tender a contract to support working carers.

The aims of this contract will be to support working carers in balancing their roles as carers and employees and to raise awareness across Croydon employers of best practice to recruit and retain working carers. The indicative timetable for this contract award will be:

• Publish invitation to tender– early September
• Evaluate bids – Mid October
• Award contract - November
• Have a service offer in place by January 2019

This is an opportunity for providers of carers’ support to shape the service specification and tendering arrangements. Attendees will be able to see the outcome of the recent pilot of a working carers service in Croydon and have an opportunity to comment on the draft service specification.
