The intersection of disability and violence against women and girls is one that is not spoken about often enough.

As part of UN Women’s 16 days of activism to eliminate violence against women and girls, AVA are hosting a seminar which will raise awareness of the challenges faced by disabled women and girls suffering from gender based violence. We will explore new work carried out by AVA and the University of Lancaster in addition to hearing from a number of survivors and disability organisations on the need for services to improve access.
