The event has 4 objectives:

  • A workshop forum for people to discuss rough sleeping in Croydon, our successes, what we could do better?
  • A space for non-commissioned council services to congregate and network together, discussing their work with new faces who have an interest in out multifaceted response to rough sleeping in Croydon
  • An opportunity for smaller groups and the multi-faith sector to share their work with rough sleepers with an objective to work better together
  • A forum for volunteers to come together who wish to learn about opportunities to work with rough sleepers in Croydon. This could vary from working with council lead initiatives, service providers, shelters, outreach teams etc, depending on what opportunities are available.

The council highly urge anyone to come who has a strong interest and or opinion on Croydon’s work with rough sleepers, who may have direct, indirect or no experience with rough sleepers. The event will include an opportunity to learn what work is being done and how we are moving forward as a community to tackle rough sleeping.
