Music Teacher Summit: Careers, Assessment, and Teaching Skills

Tuesday 15 June 2021
16:30 to 19:00

Taking place rom 15 - 17 June 2021.

The Music Teacher Summit offers professional development, inspiration and reassurance for all music teachers, delivered by a wide range of experts.

Following the extraordinary circumstances of the global pandemic, our speakers offer up-to-date expert advice to give you peace of mind and clarity on best practice as we navigate the roadmap back to normality.

This essential online event – taking place from 4.30pm-7.00pm on 15th, 16th and 17th June – is organised as three themed days of keynotes and practical sessions, each allowing time for questions.

Day 1 on Careers covers how to build your teaching portfolio, how to manage safeguarding, and looks at the range of qualifications you can gain to boost your career opportunities.

Day 2 on Assessment covers how to best record your students, choose repertoire for GCSE and A-level exams, and make instrumental and vocal assessments a positive element of music education.

Day 3 on Teaching Skills covers how to keep your students healthy, increase the visibility and importance of music in your school, and promote and (potentially) monetise your students’ work.
