This training session is specially designed for professionals to raise awareness on Prevent, (the statutory duty to safeguard those vulnerable to violent extremism), and discuss some of the innovative research being done on the overlap with domestic abuse.

The session will go through the Prevent policy, extremism/radicalisation definitions, indicators of concern, the overlap in other safeguarding areas (with a focus on domestic abuse), how referrals are made and how they are responded to. The training will include case studies, videos and group exercises.

The course will be repeated on the following dates:

13 December 2021; 17 January 2022; 21 February 2022; 21 March 2022.
