Your Station, Your Community: A Guide to Project Funding
Wednesday 23 March 2022
13:00 to 13:40
For over ten years, the community team at Thameslink, Southern and Great Northern have been working with a variety of local community groups, who tirelessly play a role in providing a link between our railway and the community it serves. Some of the schemes include introducing a community book-swap scheme, art exhibitions or maintaining a small garden. As well as being highly rewarding, it’s an excellent way of bringing people in the neighbourhood together, thereby improving people’s health and wellbeing, improving their confidence, and developing specialist skills.
This is the first in a series of short, bite-size webinars designed to promote the benefits of the Station Partners scheme to new and prospective partners. They wil be hosted by the Community team and will include expert speakers on four different themes to offer advice to interested partners on planning and funding projects. There will be opportunities to get advice from the Community team, as well as ask the external speakers.
