For a number of years, London Sport has worked with social prescribing schemes in London, and across the country, to improve the knowledge and confidence of Social Prescribers to utilise sport and physical activity as part of their practice.

Together with the University of Kent, Centre for Health Services Studies, they would like to share the impact of this work.

Join Specialist Advisor for Workforce David Reader and lead researcher, Dr Sarah Hotham BA, BSc, MSc, PhD, C.Psychol, to find out more on the benefits of social prescribing training.

This webinar will explore key data found in a study by the University of Kent on:

• Behaviour changes after completing social prescribing training

• Self-efficacy of social prescribers after completing the training

• Increasing specialised knowledge about benefits of physical activity on health and wellbeing of patients.

• Effectively sign-posting patients to physical activities in local areas

• Confidence in measuring changes in physical activity levels to assess impact of referrals

• Learnings from implementing a new training package to a new audience
